The know-how of our local artisans reflects the passion for art and cultural heritage that proudly forms part of the identity of our ceramics collection.
The production of ceramic pots by hand is a traditional art form deeply rooted in Portugal, of which we are extremely proud. In our ceramics workshop, we work with the best local artisans, and we promote the authenticity of Nature and pottery in its purest state, with products that are unique and full of personality.
Our ceramics come directly from the village of Oleiros, in Barcelos - the first city in Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula to join UNESCO's network of World Creative Cities in the Crafts and Folk Art category.
Each handmade ceramic pot is unrepeatable, reflecting the authenticity and savoir-faire of our master potters. We also believe in the importance of involving and training young artisans to ensure the continuity of this valuable art, promoting its preservation and evolution for future generations.
Grandson of potters and son of Oleiros. This is the story of Mr. João, a man who has been passionate about ceramics and handmade pots for as long as he can remember. Authentic art pieces come out of his workshop every day for Artevasi, supported by the precious hands of a talented team of artisans who absorb their elders' experience and embrace the younger ones' ideas. From here, imperfectly perfect pots come out every day, from Portugal to the world.
We believe that innovation and tradition can go hand in hand. In addition to our artisan know-how, we are also committed to producing machine-made ceramic pots, focused on functionality and the balance between quality and price. We design models and colours that complement a collection that is increasingly versatile, personalised and in line with new market trends.
